Heart block

The electrical pulses that cause the heart to beat are decelerated or blocked along the pathway between the upper and lower chambers. The condition usually call for a pacemaker.

(cardiopulmonary bypass) Instrument which oxygenates and pumps blood during open-heart surgery.

Abnormality of the heart and other abdominal organs. It is usually accompanied by multiple defects in the heart and an absence of or multiple spleens.

Heart valve replacement using a human donor valve. It is also known as an allograft.

Hypertension

Condition in which the patient has an abnormally high blood pressure. In normal adults the pressure is less than 130 mmHg systolic and less than 85 mmHg diastolic. Levels above 140/90 indicate a mild form of hypertension. Above 180/110 is considered severe.

If the size of cells increases, causing enlarged organs and tissue.
